Security firm Symantec has released Symantec’s latest report entitled Intelligence Report. The report, released earlier in June 2012 shows the data for May 2012.
According to Symantec’s written statement, approximately 66.3 percent of email in Indonesia during that period Spam is junk email alias. It shows 2.9 percent increase from the previous period.
This trend is similar to global trends indicating an increase of 3 percent, from the period of April 2012, to 67.8 percent.
The security firm estimates that spam email senders will use the momentum that was busy talking. Including, the 2012 London Olympics.
For example, Symantec found a fraudulent effort to lure victims in the Olympic organizing committee positions, ranging from the coordinator to the greeter.
Other data that were outlined in the report is the ratio of virus that spreads via email. In this case, there is a decrease.
In Indonesia, the report says, the ratio of virus to the period of May 2012 is 1:1281,4. That is, there is a virus in each of 1281-an email.
